St Peter's

St Peter's Church is in Upper Wolvercote and has particular responsibility for the area covered by Upper and Lower Wolvercote and the St Peter's and Templar Road estates.

Summertown URC

Summertown URC is situated on the main Banbury road at the north end of the Summertown shops. With St Michael's we share responsibility for the areas of Summertown and Cutteslowe.

St Michael's

Situated in the heart of Summertown, St Michael's welcomes people from all walks of life to share worship which we strive to make relevant, challenging and dignified, and to find space for reflection, prayer and personal growth.

Wolvercote Baptist Church

Wolvercote Baptist Church is in Lower Wolvercote close to the village green. The Church, which, in its present building, dates from 1885, plays a central role in the community and the life of Lower Wolvercote.

Menu links above and to the side go to activities organised jointly by our four congregations and to the web pages for Wolvercote Baptist Church.

Introduction to the Summertown-Wolvercote Church Partnership

The Church Partnership succeeds the Ecumenical Parish of Wolvercote with Summertown which was inaugurated in 1982 when the Anglican churches of St Michael's, Summertown and St Peter's, Wolvercote entered into a covenanted relationship with Summertown United Reformed Church. It is very good that the Church Partnership now also includes Wolvercote Baptist Church. Together we are committed to:

1. The good news of the love of God in Christ for everyone
2. An understanding of the bible as the core of the Christian faith interpreted in the light of tradition under the guidance of the Holy Spirit
3. Worship for all ages through both word and sacrament and faith which allows questions to be asked and answers sought
4. The inclusion of all ages, genders and races and a commitment to interfaith dialogue and understanding
5. The working out of our faith in service to the local community and the wider world.

Renewal of Partnership Covenant

The Partnership Covenant was renewed at a special service in May 2015 at Wolvercote Baptist Church. The text of the Covenant and the Order for the Renewal Service may be seen at Renewal Service and Covenant
