Vicar of St Michael and All Angels, Summertown

The Rev’d Gavin Knight worked for Saatchi & Saatchi before reading theology at St Andrew’s University. Since training for ordination at Cuddesdon, he has served in parishes in Birmingham and London and then as Chaplain of Monmouth School. He has a post-graduate Masters Degree in Applied Theology from Oxford. Gavin is married to Jo, a clinical psychologist. They have three boys. Gavin is involved in creating a “threshold ministry” at St. Michael & All Angels, Summertown which means opening the doors of the church so that newcomers can enter as well as the church going out into the parish.

Vicar of the Benefice of St Peter’s Wolvercote & All Saints Wytham

Kate was licensed as Vicar for the Wolvercote and Wytham benefice in September 2021. She moved from London, where she was a vicar in Harrow, and before that served a curacy in Merton. She previously worked in church communications at Christian Aid and The Children’s Society, and as a book editor. Kate is married to Russell and they have a young daughter. When she’s not working she enjoys singing, gardening, cooking and keeping fit.

Minister of Summertown United Reformed Church

Pauline trained for ministry on the East Anglia Ministerial Training Course and at Westminster College, Cambridge. She was ordained at Summertown URC on 14th July 2007. From 1987 to 2005 she worked for two national ecumenical bodies, the Free Churches Council and Churches Together in England, principally on women’s and social issues. Earlier, she was employed in Braille Production at the Royal National Institute for the Blind, where she gained a commitment to disability issues and an interest in computers. Until recently Pauline has been a sessional chaplain at Holloway Prison, in London. She is currently a sessional chaplain at Bullingdon Prison, Bicester. In spare moments she enjoys watching sport, gardening and digital photography.
